### Week 1: Introduction & Understanding Composition
**Objectives:**
- Introduce basic composition techniques.
- Practice sketching simple objects focusing on compositional balance.

1. **Starter Activity (10 mins):**
- Discuss famous artworks and identify the compositional techniques used (e.g., Rule of Thirds, Leading Lines).
2. **Main Activity (40 mins):**
- Demonstrator-led drawing session on sketching a still-life arrangement, focusing on composition.
- Students create thumbnail sketches emphasising different compositional layouts.
3. **Plenary (10 mins):**
- Peer review of thumbnail sketches – discuss strengths and areas for improvement.

### Week 2: Shading Techniques and Value Scales
**Objectives:**
- Learn and practice different shading techniques.
- Create value scales to understand light, medium, and dark tones.

2. **Main Activity (40 mins):**
